I just made this for dinner, it was GREAT! Next time, I'll add more egg whites as well the Dijon Mustard that was mentioned. It was suggested when cooking, to roll it into a ball then smash it down. Leaving the outside crunchy and the inside soft. Thanks for the suggestions......

The oatmeal you put in is it quick cooking oats, rolled oats? Do you make the oatmeal before hand, than add two tbls? Sorry if this sounds dense but it doesn't say..

I just made this for lunch today after my workout and it is delicious! I had some trouble keeping it together as a patty but just used the spatula to get it onto the piece of toasted bread. I added a few slices of tomato on top and that adds some good flavor. I think next time I will try the red pepper with some pepper jack cheese for some variety.

Just made these and they're pretty insane. Will more than likely do this with all my tuna cans now.

The Slap Chop is junk.

Just made this, a double recipe though. Made 3 patties. I used a little bit more cheese than called for as well. The garlic is what makes it for me, I used 3 sections of one clove. Quite a nice taste to it, worth making again if I am not in a rush.

This is an absolute winner. I haven't ate tuna in ages because it became so boring. Had this tonight and I'm now apologising to all my tuna tins at the back of the cupboard!

try this but substitute oatmeal for mashed potato flakes. I eat two of these with some wheat bread about an hour before my work out. Great carb/protein combo!

GRate tasting, easy to make, cant have them more then twice a week though coz of tuna mercury levels.

If you are gonna use the tuna i recommend that use very little salt because it is EXTREMELY salty with the combined tuna and salt.

And, when you cook it, if you put it on the heat in a ball, you can slowly push it down into patty-like flatness, that way, the outside is nice and crunchy and the inside is melty. Hope i helped! XD

this is a good recipe.. don't get me wrong, but if you sub out the tuna with salmon.. it works pretty good

try a can of salmon..
dice about 3-4 slices of bread
add the egg
onion (my opinion better than garlic)

cook until brown

you may need to add more or less, but it is good

(salmon pattys are high protein and are freakin delicious) can't say if my recipe is exact, but def try it out sometime)

Tried it last night and added it to my diet program. There great tasting by following the recipe. I'll take away and add to in the future, but a sure winner in my book and it certainly beats the boring open the can, drain the water, and consume the tuna routine.
